Creating a Ping Tree Calls Offer

Step ONE: Create Offer

Offers > Create Offer

Revenue Model: Revenue Per Call
Transfer Type: Ping Tree
Payout Model: Pay Per Call
Payout Method: Revenue Share

  • We typically recommend using a Revenue Share for this model. Revenue Share will help make sure that you do not take a loss of profit when pricing is dynamic.

Duration Buffer:

  • This is how much time you want to give the Advertiser to pick up
  • This can be set in the Offer creation window or in Offer > Settings > Payout & Revenue
  • The Duration Buffer is automatically added on to the duration the Advertiser is paying on to factor in the amount of time it takes the transfer to occur.
  • It protects you from the duration discrepancy between your Affiliate and Advertiser
  • This Buffer is typically only a few seconds. For example, if the Advertiser's duration is 90 seconds, and you have a Duration Buffer of 5, the duration that we send the Affiliate would be 95 seconds.
  • If you add the "IVR Duration" column in the Inbound Calls log you can get an idea of how long the Advertiser usually takes to answer and can set the Buffer based on that.

Step TWO: Adding Reserved Numbers

Settings > Settings > Adjust Numbers button

Reserved Numbers:

  • Reserved Numbers are a pool of dynamic numbers as opposed to one static number assigned to a Direct Transfer Campaign
    • We will not use an assigned Tracking Number in this workflow
  • We typically advise starting with adding one number for every Campaign attached to this Offer and then one additional number as well
    • For example, if you have 2 Campaigns attached to a Ping Tree Call Offer, our recommendation would be 3 Reserved Numbers.
    • Reason being, 1 Campaign per Reserved Number (depending on volume this number will need to be increased) and 1 number for reserve.
  • The Affiliate will Ping the system, if they get a Ping Accepted, they will Request a Number from the Offer. Once they have received a Reserved number, that number will be locked to that specific Ping ID until the call has ended. Once ended, the number will be put back in the pool of numbers and ready to be used for another Ping ID once accepted.
  • The idea of the Reserved Numbers is to ensure that the Affiliates can not just send a call in without pinging for coverage first.
